re are results accurate?

Hi Hayley,

If you had a negative test for Hep B, then you don't have it.

Depending on which country you're in, pregnant women are usually offered an HIV test, but I don't think they'd do one without telling you.

If you want to find out, then ask them.

Look after yourself!

Hayley................

Have you doctor give you a copy of your test results. Whatever you were tested for will be on the labs results sheet.

My husband has been in Asia/Africa/China in the last two years. I went to the doctor for what I though was a bladder infection (turned out to be Ecoli bacteria, which most people are not aware of, but it is sexually transmitted as well as by condimated foods, yes I was very shocked and mad as a hornet about that).

Well, when he found out where my husband's job takes him, he not only sent me for a urine test, but so many blood tests that I could not get out of the bed for three days, they took four fairly large viles of blood.

I did not know what it was all about, but when I got the test results back, he had me tested for HIV, hep; A, B, and C. Along with every STD you could check by a blood test, plus diseases I did not know existed!

Talk about embarrassed, I had no idea he had all those tests done on me without telling me!

Everything came out negative, except for the Ecoli. But I sure was mad at my husband for working in countries that people could get diseases like these and many others I can't even pronounce the names of that I had to be tested for..............

Just ask for your test results for your own peace of mind.

The doctor told me he did this as my husband could contact many different diseases just by the foods/clothings/ and sleeping in those hotel rooms in Asia.

By the way, he has been sick all the time he has been working there, and is stupid enough to stay anyway.

Shalom, Shirl
