Does anyone battle with EBV?
|
HI friends and God bless, Do any of you battle with EBV. I would like to know what your doctor is doing to help you with that. Although I do not have aids. I have Chronic EBV which I have had for 20 years now. I have been able to hold it by the little toe but at any time it could take me alive. It is in a battle to take over. I do have CFIDS as well as Fybromyaligia and enviromental illness as well as thyroid disease, but the EBV is the one that keeps them all going. I will be interested to get your imput.

I to have had ebv, chronic fatigue, hypothyroidism, fibromyalgia, and pernicious anemia, and lymes for almost 20 years. My dr told me all was cause from lymes. EBV is a sympton from Lymes he said and rest was all I could do and cut back on what I try to do in a days time. Sometimes when I am on antibiotics it don't seem as bad. But I to am looking for help with the fatigue. If I here anything I will let you know. Good Luck, carol

The other replies are just like mine! I suffered from all of the above for 10 years- only to find out Lyme was behind it all. Find a competant Lyme Dr. My best, Bunny

Hi
|
Yes I do battle with high levels of EBV. On my test I was told normal was below 90 and my level was 8,000! For many years I was really down but after taking care of another problem (gallstones) I was able to get going again. It is always there in the background just in case I forget to get enough rest. I am not sure if treatments help - it seems some members are usuing anti-virals. It seems with EBV if you have any other medical problems they are much worse.

This is Jackie from DFW. I have a question, would you see Dr M first or would I need to see Dr R before going to another Doc? Have not had the testing done, but my doctor doesn't treat Lyme. Says it is too complicated for her to treat. Suggested there was a Dr in the Hurst area, but heard he gave a lot of supplements and was very expensive. Thanks
