I am in Florida also about 1 hour west from Orlando. We are on the gulf side. About 7 miles from the gulf. Have you heard of Weeki Wachee? I live 10 minutes from there. You know, the place where the mermaids swim underwater???

I too live in a gated community 55 older...wonderful isn't it? No rascals knocking on your door wanting to know if you want a tree cut down!! LOL And others.....

Sarasota isn't too terribly far from me. i have gone down to Ellenton to shop at that wonderful outlet mall. WooHoo! And sometimes I have gone to Ruskin to pick my own tomatoes and home-can them. Glad to hear from another Floridian. Warm Thoughts, Debbie

So close yet so far. My computer at shop ..:-( Both Debby, Susan our younger then me..I am 70 and taking care of my husband 20 years my senior..yes he is 90 years old and has dementia.. Love to be able to meet...I try not to travel to far from home because of my husband... Does any one like to dance? Every wednesday night I go to folk dance class from 7:30pm to 10pm..(son watches my husband) We could meet there..I can give directions...JOY

I wish I could go. Maybe we can get together some other time for me. My aide will be gone that week and I will have full responsibility for MIL. And she can't be left alone. Hubby can't take her for a minute.

I could bring MIL for Show and Tell???? LOL, wouldn't do that to anyone!!!!Especially me. I could not be locked in a car with her for that length of time. She gets antsy if we drive longer than 10 minutes anywhere.

By the time we got there, you all would think I was the AD patient LOL. Maybe another month, ya think??? Debbie

I'm pretty flexable at this point in my life. Don't know how long that's going to last..........but for now it's good. If the vote is for the first weekend, I'm in........weather permitting. YIKES June 1 is the official start of "You know What" season!!!!!

As far as directions, I can only tell you how to get there from over here. heh heh Are you familiar with mapquest? Maybe that will help. We'll stay in touch here. Joy and I have been emailing. We can exhange emails in the chat room. If you need ours, let me know and we'll set up a time to go to the chat room.
