LDN Anniversary
|
It's been about a yr. now that I've been taking LDN at the 4.0 mg. dose. Things are going pretty well for me -- much more active, less arthritis pain & swelling, less fibro pain. I just got a raft of bloodwork done & a number of things have normalized. My white blood cell count is usually a little low, now in the normal range. The WBC differentials which for yrs. have been slightly skewed have also normalized. My liver enzymes are good as ever. My int med doc was worried that the LDN would cause me liver trouble -- I had hepatitis as a child & residually have had a bit of mild jaundice that new docs always comment on. But the chem panel looks great. My thyroid frees are up on the LDN -- including the free T3, which I'd struggled with for yrs. Even with slow-release compounded T3 (which caused problems of its own) I had a hard time getting into the normal range. But I'm there now. Not mid-range, bottom quartile, but it's a big change from the past. Just reporting for those of you who are interested. Best wishes.

Snoozq/good to hear from you on your LDN work
|
as you know, I'm only on my 10th day and yesterday I took a .25mg day dose as I didn't like waking up at 3AM and not getting back to sleep. So I have a long way to go and will go slowly as I am. I'm on the yahoo group and hearing of everyone's "trials" of taking it and figuring out how to best take it. And what they are taking it for. Very interesting med. Some people skip a few days here and then and then jump back in. So it's a lot of trial and error. I don't have dramatic changes yet, but one thing that I really noticed was I had little "hairs" growing on my chin in the last few years and I chocked it up to old age, but one person on the LDN board said it due to LDN normalizing hormones. The little hairs stopped coming in. It's testerone related they said. So LDN apparently does a LOT in ways they are still researching and finding out. I might feel a tad better in the joints. I'm taking a long beach walk with a friend tomorrow and that will be a good test. I thought the last time we talked about LDN you were on 3mg. Thanks and keep posting on LDN.

SnooZQ and jaminhealth

Congrats SnooZQ, you make me feel ever so hopeful. I have usually had high T3 (Free T3) problems since getting hypER over 9 years ago. jaminhealth: It's time for me to get back to that yahoo board and keep up with the posts again. {{{hugs}}} :-)

Just read an incredible
|
testimony from a woman who's dog was near death with a large cancer tumor on it's head. She finally convinced the vet to give the dog LDN and the "smell" of death is gone and the dog has become active again and eating. Apparently the tumor has stopped growing due to LDN. LDN continues to amaze me. I continue with it and right now at 1mg.
