Alphamir by BioChem Solutions
|
Anyone hear of it? Well, supposedly it's still in the phase of "trials". I'm reading a book that my gf bought while she was in FL, title is Death by Drugs by Dr. Stephen D. Herman. He's an MD who I think is retired and doing his book writing and developing or helping to develop "safe" drugs. He talks about Alphamir like this: "A simple analgesic approach to the treatment of RA would be far superior in light of the limited and short term benefits coupled with the serious, often fatal, adverse events of TNF blockers. Certainly one would wonder why Dr D's (don't know who this is, but perhaps the person behind Alphamir) non-toxic drug ALPHAMIR, which shows 90%+ remission rate and can be taken for a lifetime, WITHOUT TOXICITY, is not available to the many sufferers of RA and other autoimmune disorders. But then, we don't have much to say about what drugs the pharma companies offer to us, or don't offer to us, as the case may be. So--let's take a look at some of their top offerings in the next few chapters." This is a very telling statement by Dr. Herman and I'm curious about this drug and where it is in the trials NOW. I'm calling BioChem Solutions soon and hope to talk to someone about it's development and if and when it will be available. Their no is 305-423-7108 if anyone else wants to talk to them about this NON-TOXIC drug. The co. is in FL. jam

Jam, this looks interesting. Apparently it can be used topically. Alphamir's active ingredient appears to be trioxolane. Some trioxolane compounds are antimalarials -- as is Plaquenil -- tho' whether mode of action is the same, I'm not sure. I've only spent a min. searching this rushed a.m., but I hope you let us know what you find out. Any known side effects, & is it in trial as an oral or a topical? I'm doing great w/the LDN, however should a problem arise with it, I'd like to have a backup plan. Best wishes.

Hi Snooz/I emailed Dr. Herman
|
to try to find out more about Alphamir and haven't heard back from him. Just did it yesterday. I believe I'll call the company about the product tomorrow. I'm kinda confused about it. The doc talks a lot about it in his book. His email is: sdhermanmd@aol.com He encourages contacting him about Alphamir in his book. It would be good if others would contact him to and ask questions as he talked a lot about it re: RA. I'm glad you are doing great on the LDN, as for me, well I'm taking now .75mg but during the day. Couldn't take being awake at night at 3AM. I don't know if it's helping now or not. I'm actually thinking hip joint replacement. Hip is getting worse. Dread that.
PS: At the end of Dr. Herman's book, he lists 18 healthy lifestyle practices. The last one is:
Above all, strengthen your immune system to slow aging and prevent degenerative changes---HOW? Take Alphamir daily.
How do we take it if we don't know what it is or how to get it to take.

Arthromir for RA
|
well, I just got an email response from Dr. Herman with an scientific attachment on Alphamir (HIV/Cancer) and Arthromir for RA and other arthritic conditions. Appears it's been used in Africa and Mexico. Snoozq/I'd like to send this to you if you care to read it. It's all pretty confusing to me. If you'd like to read it let me know and we can meet up in chat room and exchange emails. jam
Or if you feel like it the article is from Bioline International, subtitle Clinical Application of Trioxolane Derivatives. Wish I could somehow post the article but it's long. Talks about Arthromir (RA) and Alphamir (HIV).

I've never used a chat room ... my brain resists. I was able to access the article you mention by searching bioline.org, then searching for trioxolane within the site. However the paper itself I'm having trouble posting a link to. Probably a technique to reduce intellectual theft. I'm hoping to spend some time with the article in the next few days. We've got some pretty nice sunny weather for gardening this week -- a rarity in Nov in PNW, so I'm spending time outside. Take care.

Yes, take advantage of that sunny weather
|
it's sunny here and I'm indoors. Watered my plants the other day. Live in an apt, so it's simple. Glad you could access the info, but I'm thinking the Arthromir is just not available here. I can't get a straight answer from Dr. Herman. He is pushing Immunocet from a health food store in FL. It's his formulation. Take care.
