Hi all. I've been digging deep to find information on Peptide shots here in the US and this board seems to be one of two that has any information. I see that the few who have tried it have MS, Fibro, etc (all auto-immune). I had my first shot yesterday with a doctor in the Norfolk, VA area. The cost is $360 per shot. Terribly long medical history, but the short of it is that my body is wanting to hyper-react to nearly all food that I put in my mouth. I have a several year long history of increasing IgE's, but I went through a trauma with my husband a month and a half ago and my body went into hyper alert and hasn't backed down. I am also scheduled to see a Rheumatologist next week, so that they can do some additional digging on the immune system side.
I was posting for two reasons, one to see if anyone has used these shots to calm allergies and second, to share my experience. So after the first shot...higher energy and more clarity, but no improvement in allergy symptoms when eating or in between meals. In fact, I had a worse symptoms at night (fasting) than I normally have. They also said that I may not sleep which was a good sign because it meant the peptide was doing it's job, but except for random waking, I slept through (of course I'd slept like 4 hours the night before and was exhausted). Waiting to hear back from doc on when they want me to try a second shot. I'm going to stick with this until I feel like it's no longer the right thing to do.
