Hi accel,

I have not had cataract surgery, but I wanted to say that it is a very common surgery, and I know people who had it with no problems.

I will say a prayer for you to feel peace and calm, and for successful surgery.

Good luck and you can tell us all about your successful surgery after it's over. : )

Hi accel

I have had cataract surgery in both eyes. I developed "medication cataracts" and not age-related cataracts from taking Plaquenil for a while for lupus.

I had to take special eye drops prior to the surgery and post surgery. It was not difficult and I did very well for both eyes. The doctor saw me the day after surgery and I drove myself.

The procedures now are so advanced. If you have a bit of anxiety, tell the nurse to tell the anesthesiologist and he can give you a little something to help you with that. Good luck and many hugs.
