IC

does anyone else have flare ups of interstitial cystitis possibly due to candida? I never had this before I had pelvic floor surgery and then started nystatin and diflucan. Could the anti -fungals be causing the bladder irritation?

IC problems

The candida is causing it!!! Don't stop taking the meds....Remember your symptoms get a little worse before they get better because the body is trying to get rid of the toxins. Have you read "THE YEAST CONNECTION" by Dr. William Crooke...there is an entire chapter on IC.
Good luck!

IC Symptoms

I've had yeast problems as long as I can remember. I bought the Yeast Connection the big book about 10 years ago. Sometime after that whenever I drank beer, I felt like my stomach was foaming up. I stopped drinking beer. A few years ago, I started having urgency as soon as the wine hit my tongue. Now I have urgency whenever I eat anything with wheat, and I'm having all kinds of other allergic reactions to things from food, to make up...who knows. The IC symptoms are particularly annoying. I'm thinking it is all yeast related, have started re-reading my Yeast Connection book, and got the revised shorter version. I also have to cookbook and another book for Candida free diet.

Since, I've self-diagnosed that this is candida and I was experiencing some vaginal symptoms, I took a diflucan. I haven't taken one for several years, and now I remember why. When I took the diflucan I got a really awlful vaginal rash, red irritated and painful, especially on urination. I had taken diflucan many times, many years ago when I used to have yeast infections all the time, and my OB-Gyn treated me with Teracol, Diflucan and I was encouraged to eat yogurt and cut back on sugars. That used to work. Now I'm 42 and all the sudden I'm having all the allergies or sensitivities.

I'm sure I'm not alone, but would like to know if anyone has has similar reactions to Diflucan, or any symptoms that sound similar to mine.

Thanks.
