Data fast & furious!
|
boy some interesting cwap is coming public-for those here with depression connected with auto-immune diseases, there alot of fabulosity going on with XMRV studies, trials happening fast & furious-its like the govt suddenly has someone chasning them down a dark alley to get the truth out, finally. They, yes, there is a 'they' Virginia, and they shot down solid research over a decade ago that found a new retrovirus connected with auto-immune disease.(Google Dr. De Freitas) The only little minor point is in the sudden public discussions, I hear and read doctors using retrovirus and HIV and XMRV and CFDS...depression all in one biiiiig sentence. So paying close attention to how the US government is going to either do the right thing finally or insinuate that all retrovirus=HIV=AIDS, and everyone is contagious with either of those and while vastly different, how many people will suddenly suffer discrimination as those with HIV already lived thru. Xyrem...the new sleep potion that's been around for some time, also getting new air time as retrovirus and CFDS are becoming valid medical issues, not psychiatric babble. I cant wait until the day comes when every 'mental' disorder is assigned a neuron synapse and we can all sit back and think about the hours and money wasted in therapy, whining and weening ourselves off an invisible nipple our neglient mothers never gave us. stay tuned, we're all normal, depression is biological, eat what makes you happy and I may even have a cigarette...@$10 a pack, maybe not.

Hi Didoe
|
Yes Yes Yes you are right. Very fast and furious. And yes too for all the bs we have gone through (including discrimination as you pointed out) since the dawn of time really. And I with you on the can't wait stuff. 'Ah Ha, it's not their fault after all', they may say. BTW your post made me smile and I thank you for that. Off to load myself with carbs, and no not for a marathon, just Sunday brunch.

Weaning
|
Had to laugh about weaning us off the nipple. LOL. Too funny. I feel badly for those of you that have to deal with other issues compounding the depression....we do face enough discrimination with depression as it is. Working at the hospital, I am amazed how many medical professionals are uninformed about depression and anxiety and still think of mental illness as "all in your head"

invisible....

yeah I have 'issues' about nipples, my mother couldnt keep hers covered or under wraps, especially when I brought home the rare date. As for weaning, I had a German nurse who didnt believe in 'spoiling' screaming babies. ISSUES!!! I have them, across the board, they're stripes on my shoulders, badges of merit, scars on my forehead (right over that 3rd eye that sees too much) and rivulets on my cheeks from years of tears... I was being a tad facetious, mental illness is a legit serious matter-depression has been with me since childhood, nipples not withstanding.
