What do I do now?

October 1st my dog passed away and I cried every day on and off all day until I broke two weeks later and committed myself for 72 hours. I came out and for a week cleaned my house and yard and put my house up for sell and went to Oklahoma City where my relative are and after 3 days came back all the while crying all the time. The lost of my dog hit me harder than anything in my life and even now I am so sad that I have tears as I am writing this. I didn't know I could be this hurt over my dog that I spent about 23 hours a day with for 9 years. I’m single with no friends and no family in the area. I’m so depressed living here and could never bring another dog into my house and when I try and move I’m so upset. I hope to move after I sell my house and move into another one in OKC. But I never know grief like this during my 62 years of living. I hope to keep as busy as possible and hope for the best. I just wanted to share and feel so emotionally crippled. Thanks for reading this.
Richard

I am sorry for the loss of your dog

In time you will heal and remember that your dog's spirit is always with you. I hope when you are feeling better you will consider another pet. The new pet will never replace the old but will add new memories to your life. (((HUGS)))

Good advice from isiselixir. Is there a shelter or rescue society near you? Get
another dog. It will not replace the one you lost, but it will be something to
love and share your life. If you can afford it, get two dogs.

Have you read the Rainbow Bridge? I found it very helpful when my dog Chester
died two years ago. Here is where you can find it.

I am so sorry you have lost your companion. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Richard, so very many dogs are at shelter that would love for you to walk them.
Your time with a pet in a shelter could be so healthy for you and a lonely dog.
Shelters enjoy people like you coming in to walk the dogs .

Please give all this a thought, another companion may be waiting for you to visit and take a friendly walk.

It don't work for me

I was and am so upset over the lost of my dog that I can not have anything of hers because it is too hard for me. I start crying when anything happens that remimds me of her and the rainbowbridge only makes me miserable trying to watch it. Thanks anyway.

Richard sorry you are having such a hard time

I was thinking about you and also others I know who have lost pets and then got new pets and they do fine with their new animals. They'll never forget the pets they lost, but go on with their lives with their new best friends. There sure are a lot of animals out there who need homes. Hopefully, in time you will get stronger. Take care. jam
