My mother was just told that she is a diabetic. She is 84 years old, my husband and I live with her and my father because they can no longer do for themselves.

I do all the cooking, etc. I don't know where to begin! There is so much info on the internet about Diabetes. I have a doc's appt scheduled for her tomorrow. I'm sure they will refer her to a specialist. I'm concerned about her diet, what changes to make.

Any advice or info/sites you can recommend that would be helpful would be greatly appreciated.
