Thanks Zero for this

I thought Bell's presentation on the medical abuse of children with ME/CFS and their parents was extremely important.

Others ably covered XMRV at the meeting.

Dr. Bell

The one comment that sticks with me is Dr. Bell's comment at the end of this excerpt:

"This virus does not vary with replication as much as HIV does. In two weeks of HIV replication the diversity is greater than 0.3%. And this is both good and bad news. Good news for the ultimate production of a vaccine. The diversity has been a roadblock in the production of a HIV vaccine. Bad news for the antiviral therapy implications. But that is way down the road."

When Dr. Bell says its way down the road, I believe it.

interesting

I do not understand, though, why the lack of variation is bad news for antiviral therapy implications....I would think that if it were to change a lot that would make it more difficult to make appropriate antivirals (like when various illnesses mutate, they become resistant to the drugs already out there).....am I missing something, well obviously I must be, but does anyone understand this part of it better?

Antiviral drugs target the inhibition of the replication cycle of the virus. If the virus replicates slowly, it will be harder to control it. If Ampligen is approved I think it will help destroy cells already infected since it works through the immune system.
