Alison Bested, MD, FRCPC, has treated patients with complex medical illnesses (ME/CFS, fibromyalgia, Lyme, MCS, etc.) in her Toronto practice for 21 years.
On Jul 10 Canada’s National ME/FM Action Network Facebook page posted the news that Dr. Bested is closing her practice in Toronto, in order to serve as Medical Director at the new Complex Chronic Disease Clinic, in Vancouver.
Starting about Oct 1, Dr. Bested will take the helm at the new clinic, now under construction within the BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre.
The aim of the Center, initiated via a $2 million grant from the Ministry of Health, is to provide a focal point for care, clinical research, and professional education regarding best practices in management of these complex illnesses.
