I had a total hyst @ 29. I took Premarin for several years and I was miserable! There are so many estrogen replacements out there that are closer to our natural hormones than Premarin.

I have been taking Estradiol for over a year and my Mom switched to it too,we are so much better for it!

Contrary to what some docs say Premarin is not 'the best' in fact in my opinion and the opinion of a few docs I have talked with Premarin is one of the worst estrogen options.

You have a right to ask about all options and it may take trying a few HRT to find what is right for you. Please do not be afraid to speak up and be your own advocate.
