I usually post on Depression/Arthritis because I'm being treated for both. In 2007 I finally began seeing a rhuematologist after being diagnosed with fibromyalgia which was followed by rhuematoid arthritis. Polyps were accidently discovered almost 2 decades ago and today I had an endoscopy/colonoscopy and more polyps were removed for biopsy. Doctor is also testing for h pylori.

So my question is, does anyone here with severe IBS also have fatigue, joint pain, chills? I've had the same gastro-surgeon for almost 2 decades, have seen 2 others and basically they all independently have diagnosed the same IBS, but now there's acute gastritis as well.

I'm just wondering what they're not seeing, other than celiac disease, that might account for the menu of debilitating symptoms, pain being number 1.

Have you had your GI doc check you for Microscopic Colitis? They have to do a colonoscopy and take biopsies to propersly diagnose MC. You may very well have that and not IBS at all.
