Calling All Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Patients and AdvocatesMay 7, 2007It is crucial that patients make a strong showing at the CFS Advisory Committee (CFSAC) hearings in Washington, DC, Wednesday and Thursday May 16-17. This is an important opportunity to hear members of the CFSAC and individual patients state our case to top CFS budget decision makers in the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. The Advisory Committee – a dedicated group of top CFS experts and advocates – will report on the latest research findings and patient needs, and submit budget allocation recommendations to the Secretary of HHS. All CFS Patients and Advocates are invited to attend this public meeting. And a number of individual patients/advocates (who were required to register by Friday, May 11) will be presenting five-minute public witness testimonials. Featured are the qualifications of five new members, appointed recently to replace a group whose terms have expired.
