In June 2008, twin conferences were held in Baltimore, Maryland:
• The 6th International Conference on HHV-6 & 7
• And the “satellite” International Symposium on Viruses in CFS & Post-viral Fatigue.
In all, the twin conferences featured 72 presentations, allowing more than 230 attending scientists and physicians from all over the world to share the latest findings and theories in one venue. Each presentation was videotaped so as to capture both the presentations and the accompanying text and graphic slides.
Ensuring the Widest Possible Access to New Information
In addition to packaging the presentations in DVD format, the HHV-6 Foundation has made them all available online for free viewing at http://www.scivee.tv/user/5257/video.
Additionally, Dr. Anthony Komaroff, MD, of Harvard University has prepared a brief “lay summary” of each conference suitable for patients. These are available for download at the HHV-6 Foundation website (http://www.hhv-6foundation.org/). Scientific summaries of the presentations are also planned.
