The Federal Register issued an announcement on August 28 soliciting nominations for five appointed positions as voting members on the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee (CFSAC)* – to be received by CFSAC Executive Secretary Dr. Wanda K. Jones at HHS not later than Sep 20 (5 pm EDT) 2009.
The five new members will fill vacancies created when the terms of Dr. James Oleske, Rebecca Artman, Kristine Healy, Dr. Morris Papernik and Jason Newfield expire on January 3, 2010. Collectively, the five new members will need to have demonstrated expertise in “health services, insurance, or voluntary organizations concerned with the problems of individuals with CFS,” and each will require “expert knowledge of the broad issues and topics pertinent to CFS.”
