National Fibromyalgia Association to host concurrent conferences for physicians and patients
ANAHEIM, Calif----The largest gathering of top international physicians and researchers on fibromyalgia will be presenting the latest information on the diagnosis and treatment of fibromyalgia and chronic pain at the National Fibromyalgia Association's (NFA) concurrent patient and physician conferences scheduled for March 17-19, 2006 at the Orange County Hyatt Regency Hotel.
The three-day event will include 60 separate presentations and workshops for patients and physicians, and over 80 exhibitors featuring top products and services.
For patients, the FAME [Fibromyalgia Awareness Means Everything] 2006 National Patient Summit will focus on "Fibromyalgia Then and Now: The Path to Improved Health," while the Fibromyalgia Continuing Medical Education (CME) Conference for physicians will concentrate on "Fibromyalgia Then and Now: The Tools for Understanding, Diagnosing and Treating."
Alexandra Stoddard, philosopher of contemporary living and bestselling author of titles including Daring to Be Yourself, Choosing Happiness:
Keys to a Joyful Life, and The Art of the Possible, will give the keynote address on Saturday, March 18, 2006.
The conference will also include a benefit fundraiser Saturday evening on board the Camelot, a 450-passenger private yacht sailing from Newport Beach Harbor.
"Fibromyalgia patients and their family and friends, caregivers, alternative health care providers, and any individuals interested in general health and well-being will be able to find out the latest breakthroughs at this conference," said Lynne Matallana, president and founder of the National Fibromyalgia Association.
