A study examined the change in incidence and the severity of symptoms experienced by Chronic Fatigue Syndrome patients over three points in time. Contrary to previously published studies, two of the evaluations were face-to-face evaluations rather than postal questionnaires. Twenty-three patients were evaluated over a time period of 3.5 years. The second evaluation revealed 52%, or 12 patients were still severely ill while five patients slightly improved, five patients greatly improved and one recovered. The severity of illness between the second and third evaluation remained stable and the one person who recovered, remained recovered.
