By Center for Disease Control and Prevention The CFIDS Association of America and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) invite health care professionals to earn free continuing education credits (CME, CNE, or CEU) through a newly developed, Web-based, self-study course on the diagnostics and treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome. “Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Diagnostic & Management Challenge” is a 2-hour course of study designed to provide an overview of chronic fatigue syndrome. The goal of this course is to assist health care professionals in detecting, diagnosing, and managing this complicated disorder. Continuing education credits will be offered to various professions based on 2 hours of instruction. The credits are offered through CDC’s Division of Professional Development and Evaluation, Public Health Practice Program Office, which is an accredited provider of multidisciplinary continuing education. It is not necessary to complete the course in a single session. Recurring access is available by logging on to the Web site with a private password. To learn more about the course, http://www.cfids.org/treatcfs/default.asp To go directly to the secure registration page for the course, http://www.cfids.org/treatcfs/default.asp. In order to access the course materials, you will be required to provide your professional licensure number during the registration process. All registration information is confidential and will not be shared with any other person or agency. You will be contacted only if and when evaluation data are studied. For further information, please contact kfaryna@cfids.org or tlupton@cfids.org.
