University-Sponsored Presentation on Fibromyalgia and Other Arthritic Conditions
"Journey to Healthy Aging" by The Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education will host a program for older adults called "What You Should Know About Arthritis."
Several Arkansas State University nursing students will present information on six different kinds of arthritis — rheumatoid, osteoarthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, scleroderma and gout.
They also will provide information about signs, symptoms and treatment of arthritis as well as ways to be good to your joints, including home safety and range of motion exercises.
The free program is scheduled for 1-2 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Van Matre Senior Center, 1101 E. Spring Street in Mountain Home.
