Living with Cancer in the Greater Boston Area? This Project is Recruiting Hispanic/Latino & Chinese Caregiver-Patient Pairs

An experimental program to teach, support, and improve quality of life for cancer patient-caregiver partners at home – the Caring and Cancer Project – has completed recruitment of Caucasian and African-American participants and is now recruiting Hispanic/Latino and Chinese participants.

The caregiver may be a spouse, family member, partner or close friend who provides care.

All materials will be available in English, Spanish, and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), with interpreters available as needed.

Created by Dr. William Collinge, PhD, a leader in development of complementary therapies for those with cancer, ME/CFS/FM, and other chronic illness, and funded by the National Cancer Institute, the program "has limited space, so apply as soon as possible."

For project details, to apply, or to contact the project coordinators, go to http://www.Collinge.org/COUPLES.html

To read a Q&A with Dr. Collinge on self-help strategies for those dealing with serious health challenges, held in April 2008, click here.
