During physical activity, try to distribute any load over as large an area as possible. For example: Use two hands instead of one to lift your coffee cup, carry a plate, or get clothes from the closet. If pinching movements are painful for you, use the palm of your hand to hold an object such as a saucer or a photograph, rather than holding it by its edges with your fingers.
