Trans-NIH ME/CFS Research Working Group Website Up & Running

On March 19, the National Institutes of Health announced completion of a website for the Trans-NIH ME/CFS Research Working Group. The group’s goal is to "identify cross-cutting areas of research” that may pertain to ME/CFS among different NIH institutes and centers, share information, and address challenges.

State of the Knowledge Workshop for ME/CFS Research, April 7-8

The first item under News & Events is an announcement of this workshop/webcast, to be held at NIH headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. The objective is to: “Bring together subject matter experts who will discuss multiple aspects of ME/CFS, including epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment. The workshop panelists will identify gaps in knowledge and opportunities for advancing biomedical research.”

The workshop will be webcasted for public viewing at http://videocast.nih.gov.

The workshop agenda (https://www.infinityconferences.com/InfiniBase/Templates/157557/Agenda.htm) does not yet list presenter/presentation specifics , but will include sessions on infectious diseases, biology, immunology, neurology, exercise physiology and energy metabolism, diagnosis and biomarkers, treatment, communications, and more.
