Emilie Sutterlin, 16, a member of the CFIDS Youth Alliance, is a member of a computer design team that is a semifinalist in the Think Quest contest. Think Quest challenges students to develop ways to use the Internet as a teaching tool. Emilie’s team developed a website where you can learn how a computer works. Visit their site at http://library.advanced.org/18268. They get points for visits and bonus points for contributions to their “You (The User)” section. People with CFIDS might want to share how computers help them. One or two sentences is sufficient.

Emilie has been an activist for CFIDS. She has testified before the federal CFS Coordinating Committee several times and participated in Lobby Days. Last spring, she and her sister organized a CFIDS/FM awareness concert. Emilie wrote an original one-act play about a teen-ager being diagnosed with CFIDS while her sister recruited local teen and adult musical talent to attract an audience. More than 180 people came, and two other CFIDS teens and one whose mother has fibromyalgia participated. You can find out more about Emilie at www.geocities.com/HotSprings/5330
