When: April 27-30, 2002

Where: Capitol Hilton Hotel, Washington, D.C.

Introduction:

On Saturday, April 27, the Alzheimer’s Association kicks off the 14th Annual Public Policy Forum in Washington, D.C. Themed, Alzheimer Advocacy: a billion ways to make a difference, this event offers a premier opportunity for Alzheimer’s advocates to make their voices heard as they work to achieve a world free of Alzheimer’s disease.

This forum provides advocates the chance to meet their elected representatives in Congress and provide them with the questions and concerns of Alzheimer’s disease sufferers and caregivers. The meeting provides advocates the opportunity to attend a Capitol Hill hearing on Alzheimer’s disease, enhance their advocacy skills and knowledge, network with fellow advocates, and to assemble on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to honor those with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers.

For additional registration information, contact the Public Policy Division of the Alzheimer’s Association at (202) 393-7737, or email: diane.blake@alz.org.
