Spitting up blood

Hi all,

I was spitting up pink phlem and my doctor didn't seem to worried and did do an x-ray, but I never heard back and they always call if something is wrong. Now I am spitting up blood, but only when I first wake up. My husband is stationed in Maryland and I am with him for the next two months, so I am not by my doctor. Should I be concerned or go to the ER. I also, have a little shortness of breath, but not all the time.

I just find it strange it only happens in the morning.

I would definitely check this out further asap

Dr. Oz, Oprah's doc said to "keep on your pcp about your lab results. That no news is not always good news".

If I had to go to the ER to find out what is going on, I would. And I hate ERs....the wait time.

((Hugs))

I went

It has been months and I am still spitting up blood and it is more now. My new rheummy didn't seem to care, so I said to myself I am sick of this and going to the er. Well they couldn't find out why I am doing this either. They gave me a catscan that came back clear. They gave me an antibotic though. Been on it for four days now and no change. The new doctor is still trying to see if I have lupus. My ANA was positive and he asked if I had a positive one before and I said yes thats why my family doctor wanted me to see you. Then he noticed all my blood work isn't back, so have to wait again. URGGHHH!!!! I am so worried about the blood I am spitting up. Does anyone hear do this.

Thanks
Ginny
