Effective Treatment of Lyme Borreliosis with Pentacyclic Alkaloid Uncaria tomentosa (TOA-free Cat’s Claw)

Article Summary

A six month pilot study was conducted on 28 patients suffering from advanced chronic Lyme disease.  All had tested positive for Borreliosis utilizing the Western Blot test for Borrelia burgdoferi (Bb). The control group of 14 patients was given conventional antibiotic treatment, and at the end of the study, 3 patients had improved slightly; 3 had gotten worse and the rest had no change in their clinical condition.

The experimental group (or remaining 14 patients) were treated with Pentacyclic Alkaloid Chemotype Uncaria tomentosa (TOA-free cat’s claw). At the end of the study, 85% of the patients tested negative for Bb,  and all patients experienced great improvement in their symptoms.
