The other day my son and I walked through the detergent isle at the grocery store and half-way through my sons eyes began to tear and nose began sniffling. He said "let's go back mom, I can't stand this". I knew he had perfumed soap and detergent allergy (he gets eczema real bad), so I always bought fragrance free. BUT what I didn't realize is how severe it can get just walking by the products. Amazing! I feel for all of you with such severe allergies and reactions to chemicals.

I can't go down the detergent aisle either. I get my mom to go shopping w/me when I need detergent, so she can go in that aisle & get it for me. It's really that bad!!!
I've actually started to choke & have trouble breathing in the detergent aisle. It's not merely uncomfortable or unpleasant.

I am sorry your son is affected by chemical smells, etc. It is no fun but one can learn where not to go and what to do if things get bad...

It is mind boggling all the chemicals one is exposed to on a daily basis!
