ProHealth is excited that two respected and beloved ME organizations are in the running to win awards worth $5,000 each. Both of these patient-centric groups have pledged to share the award with their neediest patients.
The competition for votes is called the 'CitGo Fueling Good Contest’. The contest is divided into four national regions and the top four vote getters in each region will win. ANYONE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD CAN VOTE DAILY FOR BOTH, AND VOTING CONTINUES UNTIL A MINUTE BEFORE MIDNIGHT EASTERN TIME NOVEMBER 29
THE ME ORGANIZATIONS IN THE RUNNING ARE:
(At this time the contest has become extremely tight, neck & neck, with both worthy organizations fighting hard for enough votes to finish in the money.)
• In the ‘Central’ region - the non-profit CFS Solutions, listed as the West Michigan Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Support Group.
(Vote each day at http://www.fuelinggood.com/rewardinggood?id=1331606)
• In the ‘Southern’ region - the ME/CFS Knowledge Center.
(Vote each day at http://www.fuelinggood.com/rewardinggood?id=1292947)
VOTE DAILY FOR EACH. The great news is that you can vote daily for both organizations, since they are not competing in the same regions.
Click on each link to cast your vote on the page that comes up. Then click on the other link and do the same thing for the other organization. Do this helpful 30-second exercise daily until November 29, and the ME will community will have a victory under its belt.
HOW WILL THE WINNINGS BE USED?
According to CFS Solutions’ President Lori Chapo-Kroger, “Many people we serve can no longer work because of illness, so Citgo gas fueling cards would be given to CFS patients, enabling them to travel to see their doctors. Volunteers could deliver meals. It would also help people who are newly diagnosed attend those ever important education classes.”
According to the ME/CFS Knowledge Center, “Citgo gift cards will enable us to increase our funding for producing videos, seminars, and support for seminar attendance by noted scientists, by using the cards to pay for travel rather then cash. Gasoline for local travel, used exclusively for our charitable work, is our second largest expense.”
The suspense is exciting, as both organizations are in third place, both presently qualifying for the $5,000 prize.
Please join me in supporting these terrific patient organizations by voting today and every day until the the contest ends on November 29. I voted for both organizations just now to see how long it took me, and the total time to cast two votes was only 25 seconds. Working together we can support each other, and working together we can make this opportunity a success for ME.
THE LINKS, AGAIN
Save them someplace where you can find them easily every day. And don't forget to vote for BOTH groups. We can do it! Thanks for being an ME superhero!
