There s a huge push on by the media to buy generic foods as a money saver. So I started to try that. I found that the generic tomato sauce (that are supposed similar to Rago, Prego, etc.) gave me horrendous migraines and because of eye surgery I can't read that "mice type." I asked the store clerk to read the contents on the side and it contained MSG. This explains so much.
So just a warning to those who get migraines from MSG---DOUBLE CHECK THE LABELS OF GENERIC BRANDS. They are definitely cheaper, and they sound ideal, but may contain ingredients that you may not be expecting and could react to. I have learned the hard way.
