I have found it true

I get migraines at least once a month. I have found that if I force myself to go to the gym my migraine will completely go away while I am working out. Unfortunately it will usually return on my way home but it seems to go away faster. If I stay home and stay in bed for about three days which is all I feel like doing, it seems to make it worse.

I really need to educate myself more on whether or not exercise is recommended to help the migraine go away. I will continue to force myself to go to my classes because the relief even for an hour is worth it to me.

Hi

If you go down about 10 or so posts you will see I put an article I think from WEB MD about Exercise & Migraines. People react differently to migraines. Some can exercise and it does seem to work and I suggest you read that article several posts down and see what it suggests and if it works for you. that would be so great.

Some people get auras before their migraines and others don't. With a migraine, I get no aura, but I get real sensitivity to light, nausea, exercise or movement increases the migraine pain and the pain increases on its own and gets extremely fierce. At some times I would end up in the hospital with severe migraines where I didn't know my phone number, my mother's name, my address, etc.--the migraines seemed to start to wipe out my memory.

Just about a month ago, I had migraines that caused a condition caused Nystagmus (spelling) where my eyes were sort of rolling in my head and I would start to lose my balance. I never had that before and it was a new one for me, but the migraines were really fierce. The neurologist said it can happen with migraines. I've been fortunate not to have it since.

I wish they could break down migraines to figure out why such differences exist from person to person (why some get auras and others don't) and then figure out how to stop migraines permanently. I have had them since 1990, without any reason and I'm ready to give them up.
