Can Parkinson's cause stomach problems?

My husband is in the early stages of Parkinson's. Lately, he has been complaining of stomach upset. Feels like his food isn't being digested. He calls it a sick stomach. I know Tourette Syndrome can cause stomach tics so I was wondering if PD can cause stomach tremors.

Thanks

Possibly

My father in law suffers from colitis, which developed after the Parkinson's onset. I think that he also has trouble digesting the drugs he is given limiting the effectiveness.

In the last month his doctor gave him parcopa, which dissolves on the tongue(overcomes digestive issues), and his symptoms showed tremendous improvement immediately. He is now walking, talking and thinking better than he has for a few years. Something to consider if the medicine seems to not be working.

stomach problems

The medication for PD can cause nausea. He may need to eat a small something with his meds, even though the bottle will suggest not to!
