Do eating habits affect PD

I would like to know if bad eating habits affect how someone feels with PD.
My Mom refuses to eat healthy, she loves anything with sugar basically.
Maybe if I told her that people on this message board have noticed
positive changes with healthy eating she might listen. My Mom's
personality has changed so much within the last two years that I
it feels like I don't know her. She has a gambling problem, she dates
a lot of random men. She is very self centered and believes all problems
stem from other people and not her behavior. I try not to argue with her
because I feel like she doesn't realize that she is changing.

Please, please someone tell me if they are familiar with what I am
going through. I only want to be her support and help her to discover
things that may help her feel more comfortable and lucid. I don't know
if I can convince her to make any changes but I know I need to try.

eating habits

Compulsive behavior:sexual, gambling, sugar consumption may be related to certain pd meds such as requip, and mirapex.Ask the neuro about this. The solution may be as simple as a change in meds.ED

Thank you

Thank you for your response, I will definitely do that. I think my Mom has been on every medication that exists for PD. We are trying to look into getting the brain implant.
