I just received a call from someone, unknown name, telling me that they had recovered 600 dollars that I had lost. The guy asked me to look at my checkbook and to give him the 3-sets of number at the top-right corner of my check.

Fortunately, I knew it was a hoax because I have not lost 600 dollars. Actually, I had a little fun with him, giving him the numbers, 000, then he knew I was joking around but before I gave him these numbers, he was VERY persistent in trying to obtain those numbers from me.

People, PLEASE beware of calls like this; do NOT give anyone any information about your checking account or any other.

Just wanted to let everyone know about this; there are some really cruel people in this world and obviously, some have fallen for this, most likely. Or, he wouldn't be calling, still asking.
