Thyroid Issues Creating Major Problems With Working__Please Help!

Hi All! -- It's been awhile since I've last posted to any boards here. I used to suffer from Fibromyalgia, but have for the most part, healed myself of that syndrome (no easy task!).

My problem now, is that I now have hypothyroidism, adrenal fatigue, low ferritin levels, and I'm dealing with the sex hormone changes that go along with perimenopause. I'm basically a wreck! I can barely function on most days as I'm so horribly fatigued and foggy brained.

My biggest issue, is one of survival, in this economy. I run a small landscape design business here in S. Calif.. I live on my own and support myself. Being as I'm feeling quite poorly now, I'm not able to work too much, PLUS there is very little work to be had, as the industry is very slow right now. That said, I need to find some work that I can do from home ASAP, or where I can set my own hours and go in during my few "good hours". I'd really like to avoid having to go on disability as it's just not my style (and I wouldn't even know if that's possible, being as I'm self-employed....and if it is possible, I'm sure I would get very little compensation, as my company is fairly new and I have not made much yet). I'm feeling a bit lost. In addition, I do not have any family to fall back on. I'm totally on my own.

My question: Does anyone know of an organization or service that can assist me in finding a legitimate job like this? Part-time or temporary would probably be best, although I'd consider the right full-time job considering my circumstances. I'm not sure how long it will take me to recover. Or are there other services that could be of help in any way? I'm feeling pretty scared about my future!

Thanks so very much, and wishing everyone the best! :-)

Boy/I wish I could help but it's really really tough

out there NOW. Years ago when I was in the workforce I could go from job to job, that is NOT the case anymore for sure. Will it ever be again. I'm living on SS and Medicare since I worked for 40 some yrs and now in my "golden years"... they are not too golden, but I answer to no-one anymore...but there is a concern in all areas. Unless, of course, you are of the rich folk.

You've got to get your health issues addressed, for sure....but all that does take money. I deal with all those issues too and found so much help on: realthyroidhelp.com

All these deficiencies are connected and need to be addressed.

When I lost my "corp" job at age 61 back in 1999, I took on fulltime childcare for a lot of years until my SS which I took at 62.
