You are correct

"Diets" don't work. Lifestyle Eating Changes Work. Portion Control, cutting out CARBS,,,greens and protein. Not eating after Dinner. Cut out the high carb snacks. Try "moving" more. All this does WORK. Water.

You normally have to be at least 100 lbs overweight to be considered.

Before you do surgery

please consider all the other good options available. Surgery is a very last resort and can result in worse problems!

As we work at getting healthier, the body does want to get back in balance.

First do a thorough physical checkup with conventional medical.
Then go to alternative healthcare for tests and natural treatment to correct any
deficiencies. Many overweight individuals really have nutritional deficiencies,
and surgery is not the answer to that. ZRT Lab has saliva hormone testing-- if
your hormones aren't functioning well, you need to take supplements.

Go to Dr. Mercola's website and do metabolic typing.

Some of us need a good colon cleanse.

This is just a start!

Do research first

Getting a lapband proceedure done is not as simple as it may seem. You don't just decide one day you want to get it done. There is a long process you must go through before it is done. You normally should be over 100 lbs and your bmi should be fairly high. There are some circumstances which permit a patient to be eligible ex. Diabetes 2, high blood pressure, etc. First, you should go to a lapband or realize band site and get all the information you can. Lapband vs gastric bypass...there is no stomach cutting. Then if you are still determined call a reputible gastric doctor. Most of the lap/realize band sites have a list of very qualified doctors. Just because a doctor has md after their name does not qualify them in the proceedure. After years and years of diets and losing and gaining weight, I have chosen to go this route. But know that once the proceedure is done that is not the end. You must follow a strict diet and follow the rules to a T or there could be complications.

Good luck in your weight loss. But do the research first.
