Body Mass Index (BMI) Calculator

The Body Mass Index (BMI) is a direct calculation of a man or woman’s body weight relative to their height. This measure is closely related to the amount of a person’s body fat and can be used to determine if people are at a healthy weight. Most health organizations and published studies on body weight and its associated risk factors use BMI to measure and define overweight and obesity. BMI does not directly measure percent of body fat, but it provides a more accurate measure of overweight and obesity than relying on weight alone.
