The CFS Patient Advocate (Chris Cairns) has kindly reported on the ME/CFS Research Center conference held at Mount Sinai Hospital on Sunday, November 20, and is releasing videos of the lectures, starting with a presentation by Dr. Kenny De Meirleir, a noted Belgian ME/CFS researcher/clinician who will be a clinical consultant to the Center.
In his heartening “Mt. Sinai ME/CFS Conference Report,” Chris begins, “All my hopes and anticipations were realized – and were exceeded, very much exceeded. It was a remarkable day and we have Dr. Derek Enlander and his colleagues at Mt. Sinai to thank for this.”
Dr. De Meirleir’s research report: On November 23, Patient Advocate posted the first of the conference lectures videotaped by Peter and Nicholas Cairns – a fascinating presentation by Dr. De Meirleir on the “Rationale for use of GcMAF in ME/CFS.” GcMAF is an investigational treatment for cancer, AIDS, and immune diseases, and Dr. De Meirleir will be collaborating with the new Mt. Sinai center in investigations of GcMAF therapy for ME/CFS.
