In an Aug 16 Reno Gazette-Journal interview with reporter Lenita Powers, Dr. Judy Mikovits told reporters that an article by the FDA will be published in September that will not only confirm but extend the Whittemore Peterson Institute’s 2009 report finding evidence of the gammaretrovirus XMRV in ME/CFS patients’ blood. Further, she’s quoted as saying WPI will publish data by the end of the year “that could lead to treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome,” and that “We totally expect at least one clinical treatment trial before the end of the year.”
