DVD on Safely Managing ME/CFS Exertion (Pacing) Features Real Patients’ Experiences

An educational DVD and accompanying booklet, entitled SETing the Pace, aims to teach the basic concepts of pacing, a technique which is being increasingly recognized as an effective treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome/ME. The DVD and booklet – now being used by occupational therapists in the UK – explain how pacing (carefully managing energy expenditure to stay within a personal ‘energy envelope’ to avoid a post-exertion ‘crash’) can help sufferers take control of the condition and improve their quality of life.

The DVD stars seven Shropshire residents who suffer from ME/CFS. They talk about their daily lives and experiences, and how pacing has helped them to have more control over their condition.

Emma Davies no longer works with Telford PCT so you have to leave your details with them & they’ll then send out a form to your home address. Just thought this might save others a bit of time
I thought this was worth a try I realise there’s lots of animosity towards CBT but to be honest I’m that desperate to find some relief I’m willing to keep an open mind- after all some maybe applicable and then i’ll use what i need and disgard the rest..
