Looking for a “disability friendly” college or university? The September issue of New Mobility has a list for you. The magazine investigated disability-related services and accommodations from 50 of the best schools in U.S. News and World Report’s annual ranking of the nation’s best schools. It’s not a top 10 list but rather a “baseline” from which a student and family can begin their college search and a standard against which to measure the services offered.

The top schools on the list are the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of California at Berkeley, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, the University of Wisconsin’s Madison and Whitewater campuses, the University of Colorado at Denver, Florida State University at Tallahassee, the University of California at Los Angeles, Texas A&M University at College Station, the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and Wayne State University in Detroit.

The last two schools on the list, along with the University of Florida at Gainesville, also have undergraduate disabilities studies programs.
