Musculoskeletal pain in childhood due either to underlying known
rheumatic diseases or to primary pain syndromes remains a
subject infrequently studied in the past year. Fibromyalgia
has received the most attention albeit mostly in adult
populations. This review examines the recent literature
regarding a variety of causes of childhood musculoskeletal
pain.
