It’s a phenomena I wasn’t very familiar with until a few years ago. I had music lessons, music class, and even physics, but apparently nothing about resonance stuck with me. I was taking a class in Bal-A-Vis-X a few years ago. Its a hand eye coordination method that restores brain function for kids, created right here in my Wichita, KS. My kids took classes twice a week for a year and I went to get trained so I could help them. (Fabulous by the way and it works!)
There were about 100 of us in a large gymnasium together learning and practicing. It involves different types of exercises all bouncing racquet balls in various ways from one hand to the other, in essence doing different “juggling” to stimulate right and left brain connectivity.
At one point in the training, we all separated and were individually practicing this particular bouncing exercise we had just learned. The most amazing thing happened. Within probably 10 minutes, all of us were completely synchronous. We were all new at this and he didn’t tell us to try to get in sync. It just happened automatically. The instructor just smiled and said that is resonance. Everyone instinctively bounces until the pattern becomes one, not matter what the group size.
Wow. I was so shocked. What a cool experience. I began to wonder, does this work in other situations?
You bet. Ever since then, I’ve been thinking about how resonance affects us in every day life and in chronic illness. We tell our kids not to hang out with “that crowd” because they will eventually vibrate over to “that lifestyle”, right? You become who you hang out with.
In physics it is defined as:
The state of a system in which an abnormally large vibration is produced in response to an external stimulus, occurring when the frequency of the stimulus is the same, or nearly the same, as the natural vibration frequency of the system.
It happens in music, with instruments and voices. And it happens in prayer.
Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. (Matthew 18:18-19)
Great power happens in unity. In groupings. Prayer circles, group praying, laying of hands corporately – all of that echoes what Jesus is saying here – it creates heavenly resonance.
What does that mean in chronic illness? It is even more important that you not be in a toxic situation. Do not surround yourself with any naysayers or negative people. Pray corporately and ask your close friends to lay hands on you in prayer together to multiplicity. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want just earthly resonance, I want heavenly resonance!
Synergy is created when we take our individual efforts and add it to another and create a group. It creates a greater total affect than that of the original sum parts. (The Beginner’s Guide to Intercessory Prayer – Dutch Sheets)
If you are feeling a lack, if you are needing a spiritual awakening, if you await healing. Continue to meet corporately and pray. Not only are your prayers multiplied, but being in circle with a positive group of prayer warriors will cause your emotional, spiritual and physical state to resonate with the group.
There is no other easy free powerful tool for your healing than this one.
Let us discern for ourselves what is right; let us learn together what is good. (Job 34:4)
In prayer and healing,
