The authors relate the results of clinical, epidemiological, immunological, neurophysiological, EMG, ED and REG studies in patients in the early period of
disease. The patients with clinical and subclinical signs of nervous system lesions and those with serous meningitis were examined. Different levels of the impairment, multiple neuropathies running a subclinical course, interest of the subcortical brain structures and spinal motoneuronal pool are demonstrated. Cases of the mixed infection (tick-borne encephalitis and borreliosis) were revealed. 91% of the patients (50 cases out of 55) were verified serologically.
