The Slim Fast diet is a meal replacement program designed to reduce calorie intake and promote weight loss. Slim Fast shakes and meal bars are fortified with vitamins and minerals and are designed to provide balanced nutrition. A Slim Fast shake or meal bar replaces standard breakfast and luncheon meals, while dinner is a sensible low fat meal of lean meat, steamed vegetables and salad. In between meals the Slim Fast diet recommends three snacks, such as fruit or vegetables, fat free popcorn or pretzels, and a Slim Fast snack bar. The plan also recommends regular exercise of 30 minutes or more per day. Dinner – Four to six oz lean meat, fish or poultry, baked potato, three steamed veggies, salad & fruit.
Snack – Air popped pop corn, fat free pudding or fat free pretzels.
