Dr. Robert G. Schwartz, MD: Dr. Schwartz is a physiatrist specializing in pain diagnosis and treatment, non-surgical specialty care, occupational medicine and sports injuries at Piedmont Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, PA in Greenville, South Carolina. Dr. Schwartz is the medical director and founder of the SC Fibromyalgia Support Group. He is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is on the teaching staff at MUSC in Charleston, SC; SCMS in Columbia, SC; and the Department of Bioengineering at Clemson University in Clemson, SC. Dr. Robert A. Moss, PhD: Dr. Moss is a clinical psychologist at the Center of Emotional Restructuring. Dr. Moss employs a system called Clinical Biopsychology, a new Assessment & Treatment approach for mood disorders and relationship difficulties. It has proven clinically helpful to individuals with mood disorders such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, physical problems affected by stress, unresolved grief and relationships difficulties (marital, workplace, sibling, parent/child). • Depression, Anxiety & the Pain Patient.
Ms. Max Long is a Physical Therapist Asst./LMT at Bon Secours St. Francis Health System. She is a graduate of Greenville Technical College with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy. Max has 29 years of working experience especially with hands-on manual therapy. She has taken several myofascial release courses under the direction of John Barnes. Karen Lee Richards: Vice President, National Fibromyalgia Association, Executive Editor, FM AWARE Magazine. Karen has extensive experience in the non-profit organization arena, having served for ten years as assistant director of a statewide organization serving the developmentally disabled in Tennessee. She lived with the symptoms of fibromyalgia (FM) for seven years before finally being diagnosed in 1996. Very soon after her diagnosis, she turned her attention to helping form the National Fibromyalgia Association to ensure that others with FM could experience a better quality of life. Karen Lee is a professional writer and graphic designer, dedicated to making the most accurate, up-to-date information available to FM patients. • The Power of Positive Support – Learn what you can do to make your support group more beneficial for yourself and others.
