Aside from those nutrients that have antioxidant properties, there are several vitamins and minerals that are also indicated for use against insulin resistance and diabetes. Some of the B vitamins have been studied especially for their role in insulin and glucose regulation, particularly niacin and biotin. And, B complex vitamins are more popular among diabetics than the general population, according to the NMI. While 18.6% of healthy consumers stated they take a B complex every day, 22.1% of diabetics said the same.
