Researchers at a major Chicago medical center studied 2,889 people ages 65 to 102 and found that those who consumed the greatest amount of vitamin E had 36% less cognitive decline than those who consumed the least amount of vitamin E. This study suggests that vitamin E may have a role in slowing age-related decline in mental functions. (Source: Herbs for Health: Being Well the Natural Way Magazine, Jan/Feb 2003)
